The Jordan River flanked by vegetation

As the Jordan River feeds the plains of Israel, likewise does the Word of the Bible feed us.

“…whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”

John 4:14

The Christian Science Reading Room

From Moses and Elijah to Jesus, Biblical prophets and disciples often found refuge in the wilderness. A variety of Christian Science publications, both print and electronic, are available for anyone to take with them on their own private journeys for rest and refreshment.

“...pray to your Father which is in secret, and your Father which sees in secret shall reward you openly" (Matt 6: 6).

Just as the Word of God flows
as a river, it also flows through Christian Science publications, the primary ones of which may be found on the lower level in our church.

These include magazines,  books, and biographies about the life and work of Mary Baker Eddy. They may be read, borrowed, or purchased.

Shelf of bound Christian Science periodicals

This weekly magazine keeps readers spiritually alert and conscious of God’s power in their daily lives, which has helped many find healing for themselves and others.

This monthly publication includes articles and verified accounts of spiritual healing, which show that the Science of Christ heals today in the same manner as Christ Jesus did 2,000 years ago. Christian Science practitioners, listed in the Journal, are available to provide metaphysical support for those in need.

The Christian Science Monitor

The Christian Science Monitor is an independent international news organization founded by Mary Baker Eddy in 1908. Its objective is “To injure no man, but to bless all mankind” by embracing the human family and shedding light with the conviction that understanding the world’s problems and possibilities moves us toward solutions. Readers are invited to pray for the healing of many of the world’s concerns. The print version arrives weekly; the electronic version reports several new stories each weekday.
